A Few Simple Questions to
Ask Your wedding photographer...
Will You be sending a contract?
This one is super important. Not only does it protect the photographer, but it protects you as the client as well. This is where all of the important things should be outlined. If you feel there's something missing or incorrect, wait to sign it until it's revised.
How long is your turn around time for photos?
I offer a sneak peek up to 48 hours after the wedding date, full gallery delivery at 8 weeks and USB/Album delivery at 12 weeks.
Does your camera have 2 SD cards?
Heck yes! This is important. Things can happen, technology (even the best) can fail. It's important to have your images saved TWICE, just to be safe.
Do you have a backup camera?
I actually have 2. Once again, things happen and even the best technology can fail. It's important that I have backups for my backups in case anything happens on one of the most important days of your lives.
Is an engagement photoshoot included?
While this doesn't have to be a requirement to make a great photographer, I do think it's important that the couple and photographer work together prior to the wedding date. Which is why I offer a complimentary engagement shoot with every wedding collection. I like to see the way you two move, what poses you like and dislike, ect. It's necessary that we vibe well, so your day goes well.
What is the best form of communication?
For me it's text message. I give all of my brides a special text tone, so I know it's important without even looking. I also tell all of my brides to double text if they don't hear from me within 24 hours. Life gets busy, but you're always my first priority. This communication continues after your wedding date.
Will we talk again before the wedding?
I always think it's a great idea to chat over the phone one more time a few weeks before the big day. Go over any final details like start time, important events throughout the day, changes, ect.

Before asking all of these questions, it's important you like the photographers work first. Instead of asking them to change their style, find a photographer that fits your style from the beginning.
